Technology UsedPSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption)
Flow Rate(LPM)/(Nm3/hr)15 Nm3 Per Hour
Purity Of Oxygen93%
Air Compressor (kW)30 kW
ApplicationMedical
A medical oxygen generator is a system that produces high-purity oxygen on-site by separating it from ambient air, often using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. These generators eliminate the need for traditional oxygen cylinders or liquid oxygen tanks, providing a continuous and reliable supply for hospitals and other healthcare facilities. They are designed for 24/7 operation, ensuring a steady flow of oxygen for patients with breathing difficulties.

How it works
  • Compression: Ambient air is compressed and filtered to remove moisture and oil.
  • Adsorption: The compressed air is sent into a bed filled with molecular sieves (like zeolite) that selectively adsorb nitrogen and other gases, allowing oxygen to pass through.
  • Regeneration: When the first bed is saturated with nitrogen, the process shifts to a second bed. The first bed is then depressurized, releasing the adsorbed nitrogen, which regenerates the sieves for the next cycle.
  • Continuous production: The alternating cycle between two beds ensures a continuous, uninterrupted production of oxygen at the desired purity level.
Benefits
  • Reliability: Provides a consistent and uninterrupted supply of oxygen, reducing dependency on external deliveries.
  • Cost-effectiveness: Can be more economical in the long run compared to the ongoing costs of cylinders and liquid oxygen.
  • Safety: Eliminates the risks associated with storing and transporting heavy, high-pressure oxygen cylinders.
  • Flexibility: Units can be scaled to meet the specific oxygen needs of a facility.
